Cycling Adventure

Hey Guys,
A few weeks ago I went on cycling course. I learnt heaps of skills that will help me for life, and had heaps of fun. Huge thanks to Phil and Matt who taught and guided us. Please comment below. Do you go biking? Do you know the road rules? When did you learn to ride on the road? Thanks Kate.

My heart was thumping as we paraded our bikes onto the footpath. This was such an unfamiliar experience for me. We had previously geared up in our hi vis vests and helmets. People undoubtedly could see us for miles. We all listened to Phil (our Biking Instructor), and Matt (a police officer) who gave us a short informing talk, reminding us of the road rules. “Come on Guys, we’re going first!’’ Phil announced with excitement. I was in Phil’s Group. I felt very mixed up. I felt flustered, yet bouncing with excitement. My emotions were wrestling with each other. Good feelings alway win though, and I felt enthusiastic. I hoisted my bike onto the road. I adjusted the petals until I was in power position and ready to go. I felt very responsible to be going on the road. This was going to be fun! We checked behind us. ‘CLEAR!” we all screeched at the top of lungs. And with that, we disappeared into the distance.  I was thrilled.
